金鞭溪全长约10km，呈北东向沿峡谷横贯整个公园，是溪谷之美的集大成者，它穿行在深壑幽谷之中，蜿蜒于林海苍翠之间，清澈的溪水，千姿百态的岩峰，构成一幅优美的山水画卷，是地面流水沿石英砂岩东北向、东西向和近南北向的几组节理裂隙切割侵蚀而成的。 Golden Whip Brook is about 10km long, flowing in the north-east direction across the Geopark along the valley. The Brook flows in the shadow of the deep valley and meanders in the green forest. The clear water and sandstone peaks in different poses constitute a beautiful scrol of landscape paintings. The sandstone peaks along the banks were formed by water cutting and erosions along several joints of different directions.
