联合国教科文组织世界地质公园是指单一、统一的地理区域，其中具有世界级地质遗迹和自然景观在保护、教育与可持续发展理念下进行整体管理。其采取自下而上的方式，将保护与可持续发展相结合，同时推动当地社区的参与，这一做法日益受到欢迎。目前，全球共有51个国家拥有241处联合国教科文组织世界地质公园，中国已有51个，数量稳居全球第一。 Introduction of UNESCO Global Geoparks UNESCO Global Geoparks (UGGp) are single, unified geographical areas where sites and landscapes of international geological significance are managed with a holistic concept of protection, education and sustainable development. Their bottom-up approach of combining conservation with sustainable development while involving local communities is becoming increasingly popular. At present, there are 241 UGGps in 51 countries, and China has 51 of them, firmly ranking first in the world.  세계지질공원   유네스코 세계지질공원은 세계적 가치의 지질 유산과 자연경관을 갖춘 단일하고 통합된 지역으로, 보호·교육·지속가능발전의 이념 아래 관리된다. 이는 지역사회의 참여를 기반으로 보호와 발전을 결합하는 방식으로 운영되며, 전 세계적으로 확산되고 있다. 현재 전 세계 51개국에 241개의 세계지질공원이 있으며, 중국은 51개로 세계 1위를 차지하고 있다.
