为一个独立的砂岩峰柱，高约100m，是流水沿两组垂直节理侵蚀下切后经差异风化、崩塌形成的峰柱。从侧面看，像一位头戴方巾、身着长衫、背着满满一篓草药的腰身佝偻的老人，故称采药老人。 It is an isolated sandstone column, with a height of about 100 m. From the lateral view, it likes an old, stooped man wearing square scarf and long gown, carrying a basket of herbs on the back. This scene is formed by water cutting along two-way joints of sandstone column, differential weathering and sandstone falling down along the certain directions.
